The Zeb Law Commercial Litigation Team is representing a mid-sized court reporting firm in a business dispute following a failed merger of equals. The suit, which has claims and counterclaims sounding in contract, equity, and business tort, has been pending for nearly four (4) years.
Zeb Law Partners, Kimberly Slaven-Hauth, Esq. and Jordan Shaw, Esq. filed a motion seeking sanctions, after the Plaintiff, Patricia Bailey-Entin, former owner of Bailey and Associates Reporting, Inc., refused to sit for deposition. Broward Circuit Judge, David Haimes, referred the motion to a Special Magistrate—Retired Eleventh Circuit Complex Business Court Judge, Alan Fine.
In his Report and Recommendation, Judge Fine recommended the imposition of $12,000 in sanctions against Bailey-Entin.
