Edward H. Zebersky, is the Founding Partner of Zeb Law. Ed’s trial practice ranges from traditional personal injury cases, to more complex litigation involving defective products, Tobacco, bad drugs, medical malpractice, insurance issues, hurricane damages, corporate disputes, fraud, RICO, malicious prosecution and constitutional law challenges. Ed has also served as a party appointed arbitrator and expert witness on insurance matters. Ed also enjoys serving as a pro bono lawyer for ordinary people in need of help.
Ed has litigated and prevailed against some of the world’s largest corporations in some of the nation’s largest lawsuits, handling over 70 class actions, resulting in settlements and verdicts totaling nearly $400 million. Ed has actively lobbied on issues involving insurance legislation and consumer protection and was appointed by the President of the Senate to serve on the Florida Auto Insurance Fraud Task Force. He also served as President of the Florida Justice Association and the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers where he has sat on the board since 1999. On the American Association of Justice Board of Governors, Ed serves or had served on numerous committees, including the Organizational Review Committee, the National Finance Committee, the Public Affairs Committee, the Judicial Nomination Committee, and the AAJ PAC. Ed is also twice received Lawyer of the Year in Mass Torts and Class Actions by Best Lawyers in America. He is also a Top 25 Mass Tort Lawyer in America and a Top 100 Trial Lawyer in America. Ed is also a member of the prestigious International Academy of Trial Lawyers, the International Society of Barristers and American Board of Trial Advocates. A community man at heart, Ed has received several pro bono service awards for the time and work he has donated to those who could afford to hire a lawyer and has served a Chairperson of Coast to Coast Aid, which is a LSC funded corporation that provides pro bono legal services to persons living in Broward and Collier Counties. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he graduated with a dual degree in Finance and Marketing and then earned his JD at the University of Miami School of Law, graduating in the top 7% of his class with an appointment to the Order of the Coif and a Dean Merit Scholarship. Ed is also Debbie’s husband and David, Myles and Micah’s father. In addition to his work as a trial lawyer, Ed’s greatest endeavor now is to teach his boys how to work, each day, to make the world a better place than it was the day before.
